116th Annual Convention of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Concluded Successfully at its Spiritual Head Quarter Qadian, Distt. Gurdaspur, Punjab, India.

29th December, 2007. Saturday First day First Session:
Flag hoisting: The official flag of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was hoisted by Dr. Hafiz Saleh Mohammad Alladin Sahib, the President, Sadr Anjuman Ahmadiyya (Central Ahmdiyya Organisation) Qadian at 9.50 a.m.
Inaugural Session: (29.12.07) The inaugural session of the Convention proceedings was presided by Dr. Hafiz Saleh Mohammad Alladin Sahib. The prceedings began with recitation of the Holy Quran by Mr. Bilal Ahmad Tahir, of Rabwah (Pak). After this, a beautiful song by Mr. Nasir Ali Vsman was sung. Dr. Hafiz Saleh Mohammad Alladdin Sahib delivered the inaugural speech about the prosperity and success of the Annual Convention. At the end of the first session of the first day, Dr. Sahib expressed his views on the life and contributions of Late Hazrat Mirza Wasim Ahmad Sahib, the former head of the Ahmadiyya Community in Qadian. He described shortly, that Late Hazrat Miza Wasim Ahmad Sahib used to deliver an inaugural speech before the commencement of Convention. After the inaugural session, Moulana Mohammad Omar Sahib, Secretary for Missionary Works India, delivered a lecture on the topic of "Teachings And Similarities Between Different Religions" in the context of Islam. After Moulna Mohammad Omar Sahib, Moulana Mohammad karimuddin Sahib Shahid, Addl. Secretay, Waqf E Jadeed, delivered a speech on "The life and characters of Hazrat Mohammad Sahib (S.A.S.).
Introductory lectures: In the first session of the day some distinguished guests from foreign countries addressed to the audience. Mr. Moulana Shamsuddin, Missionary, Palestine (Israel) addressed the audience for few minutes. After him Mr. Sheikh Mujeebur Rehman of Denmark addressed the audience about the activities of the Jamat Ahmadiyya in Denmark
Second Session: The second session started at 2.30 p.m. and was presided by Sahibzada Mirza Khursheed Ahmad Sahib, Head and the Amir, Jamaat Ahmadiyya Pakistan, Rabwah (Pak). First lecture of the second session was delivered by Moulana Mohammad Ayub Sahib, Incharge Missionary, Kerala on the topic of "Bounties of Khilafat (Succesorship)". Second lecture of the day, was delivered by Moulana Mohammad Ianam Chori Shib, Chief Secretary, Sadr Anjuman Ahmadiyya, Qadian, India, on the topic of "Life & Characters of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Sahib, the Promised Messiah".
30th December 2007. Sunday:
First Session: The first session of day two started at 10.am. and was presided by Chowdhry Hameedullah Sahib of Pakistan. The first lecture of the session was delivered by Moulana Muneer Ahmad Khadim Sahib. Addl. Secretary for Missionary Works, India, about "The Teachings of the Holy Quran and The teachings and life of the Promised Messiah (AS.)" in the context of Quran and Hadis. Second lecture of the day was delivered by Moulana Syed Kalimuddin Ahmad Shib, Missionary Incharge, Delhi, on the topic of "Rights of Woman In Islam". After this, Moulana Mohammad Hamid Sahib Kausar, Principal, Jamiya Ahmadiyya Qadian delivered the last lecture of the session on the topic of "Fore sayings of Hazrat Prophet Mohammad (S.A.S.) About the Recent Era."

Prof. Darbari Lal : Professor Darbari Lal Sahib, Ex. Deputy Secretary, Lok Sabha, Govt. of Punjab, Amritsar, expressed his sincere feelings about the Convention and also congratulated the participants of the Convention.
Second Session: The second session of day two was presided by Sahibzada Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Sahib of Jamaat Ahmadiyya, Rabwah (Pak.). This Session began at 2.30 p.m. Moulana Giyani Tanveer Ahmad Khadim Sahib, delivered a lecture in Punjabi language "On the Teachings and Preachings of the Religious Leaders of Different Religions."
After this Session, some non-Muslim distinguished V.I.P. guests expressed their views over the Convention.
First of all, Captain Balbir Singh Bath, M.L.A., Shri Hargobindpur, expressed his views and very much appreciated the religious activities of Ahmadiyya Community specially in maintaining the peace in all over the world. Then Maharaj Shri Goswami Sushil Ji of Delhi expressed his heart felt feelings about the Ahmadiyya Community stating that he is very much impressed by the teachings and religious activities of the Community. After that personalities like Shri Narsingh Selwaal Ji, Shri P.S.Chawla Ji, Mr. Anurag Sood Ji, expressed their views. Specially Sardar Gurkirat Kirpal Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Gurdaspur expressed his sincere feelings about the Convention and congratulated the organisers of the Convention. He also welcomed the delegates of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Mrs. Sudesh Sharma Ji of Northern Railway, Delhi expressed her warm regards and views for the Community.
31st December 2007 Monday First Session :-
The third and final day's proceedings started on its schedule time. Mr. Mir Mahmood Ahmad Sahib, Principal, Jamiya Ahmadiyya, Rabwah, Pakistan presided on the first session of the day. First lecture of the first session was delivered by Moulana Abdul Wakeel Niyaz Sahib on the topic of the institution of the "Will" and About the economic institution of the community. After that Moulana Mohammad Nasim Khan Sahib delivered a lecture on the topic of the problems of Islamic world and their solutions. He said that acceptance of the promised Messiah as is the only solution of the problems of today's era.

After the lecture of Moulana Mohammad Nasim Khan Sahib, Secretary for General and External affairs, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Qadian, Mr. Lakhbir Singh Lodhi Nangal MLA Qadian and Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna M.P. Lok Sabha Hoshiarpur expressed their warm regards and congratulated the participants in the convention.Both of them appreciated the brotherly atmosphere in the Jalsa Salana and also Jamat's activities in maintaining the peace and law and order in the whole world.
Concluding Session :-
The Concluding session of the final day of the convention was presided by Moulana Mohammad Inam Sahib Ghori, Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community India, Qadian.
Addresses of the Non-Muslim distinguished guests - The first lecture was delivered by Shri Mahant Ram Prakash, President, of V.H.P. After this, Sant Baba expressed his Views.
Lectures of the distinguished personalities of the community: Mr.Safdar Nazeer, Ex. President of Benin, Otogo has expressed his views. After him, Moulana Shamshir Ali Sahib, of Indonesia expressed his views. Thereafter, Mr. Hamid Mehmood Shah, President, Jasmat Ahmadiyya, Belgium and Mubasher Ahmad Zahid Sahib representative of Jamat Ahmadiyya Japan, has expressed their views about the Convention.
After the brief lectures of the different personalities of the community, Moulana Mohammad Inam Ghori Sahib, Head of the Ahmadiyya Community in Qadian, expressed his sincere thanks to all the concerned Govt./Semi Govt. Authorities and appreciated their cooperation to make this Convention success
Live broadcasting of the concluding lecture of His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad Sahib, the Supreme Head of the World wide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was broadcasted live by M.T.A. (Muslim Television Ahmadiyya) from London on 3:30 P.M.
Attendance :-
This year by the grace of Allah - Almighty twenty thousand participants from 30 countries of the world including India, participated in the annual convention. Maximum number of the participants were from Pak. Participants from England, U.S.A., Germany, Shi-Lanka, Palestine, Australia, Bangladesh, Burma, Nepal, Canada, Kuwait, Singapore, Holland, Sweden, Norway, New Zealand, Switzerland, Kyrgyzstan, Greece, Ghana, Belgium, Japan, Mauritius, Indonesia have participated in the convention.
Running Translation :-
There was arrangement for running translation in English, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali for the listeners of the convention.
M.T.A. and Internet:-
Like previous year's this year too the proceedings of the annual convention were uploaded on the community's website: www.alislam.org simultaneously. The whole programs of the convention were broadcasted live on the internet and on the M.T.A. Even the final session of the final day has been broadcasted from London to Qadian and from Qadian to London.
Medical Facility :-
There were arrangements of Allopathic and Homoeopathic Medical camps near the Jalsa Gah and at other places where the participants were staying. These camps provided first aid to needy and unwell people.
Special Train :-
For the purpose of annual convention to met the extra rush like every year this year too there was a provision of two special trains from Amritsar to Qadian for the participants of the convention. The Northern Railway very sincerely co-operated with the community in this connection.
