About Our Initiative

Born from the floods of 2025, Saanjha Uprala Gurdaspur represents the unbreakable spirit of our community coming together to heal and rebuild.

Our Story

When unprecedented floods devastated Gurdaspur in August 2025, our district faced its greatest challenge. Homes were lost, livelihoods destroyed, and communities scattered. But in our darkest hour, something beautiful emerged.

NGOs, government agencies, and local volunteers united under one mission: to rebuild not just structures, but hope itself. Saanjha Uprala Gurdaspur was born from this collaborative spirit.

Our Mission

To coordinate comprehensive disaster relief and long-term recovery through transparent collaboration between NGOs, government, and community members.

Our Vision

A resilient Gurdaspur where every family has a safe home, sustainable livelihood, and the support needed to thrive beyond recovery.

Housing & Shelter

Rebuilding homes with flood-resistant designs and supporting families with temporary shelter solutions.

Livelihood Recovery

Restoring agricultural land, supporting livestock recovery, and creating new income opportunities.

Community Health

Ensuring healthcare access, mental health support, and building resilient community systems.

Stories of Hope & Transformation

Real stories from community members whose lives have been transformed through our collaborative recovery efforts.
